The role

As a Guest Service Agent, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience. You make sure that every guest feels welcome by answering all questions quickly and accurately and providing them with the necessary information. As an essential part of our Guest Experience Team, you’ll help guests with everything from luggage to special requests, provide recommendations, and provide the personalized service our guests deserve.

As a Guest Service Agent, you will work at The Kontiki. In the role of Guest Service Agent, you will be directly accountable to the Room Divisions Manager.

 

What will you do?

As the Guest Service Agent, you are responsible for:

  • Monitoring procedures of The Kontiki.
  • Receiving and welcoming guests.
  • Assisting guests where necessary (luggage, opening doors, etc.)
  • Taking care of and processing all questions and (special) requests from the guest
  • Follow-up of processed requests and/or reservations.
  • Provides information to the guest about activities within the organization (events)
  • Identifying special situations and incidents.
  • Replenishment of the minibars in the suites.
  • Handling simple complaints and resolving them independently or calling in the help of the Manager for more serious complaints.
  • Handling feedback in a polite and professional manner.
  • Improving hotel service.
  • Receive from suppliers, external service providers and show them the way.
  • Maintaining the quality of service (guest experience).
  • Ensuring the representative condition of facilities.
  • Assisting other departments, such as the In Room Dining (IRD) department.

You are innovative-oriented, bring fresh ideas and are constantly looking for ways to improve our services. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will proactively take on opportunities and work independently, while always being performance-oriented and striving for excellent results.

You also bring:

  • MBO Education in hospitality, tourism, hotel school or similar.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Passion for hospitality.
  • Flexible employability, evenings/weekends/holidays.
  • You have spoken and written knowledge of the Dutch and English language. (Spanish and Papiamentu are also desired).
  • Able to stand for long periods of time during an 8-hour shift.
