The role
As a Houseman, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience. You play a crucial role in the appearance of our resort. You ensure that all public areas, corridors and facilities always look clean, well-kept and welcoming. Together with the housekeeping team, you create an environment in which our guests immediately feel at home. With your commitment and eye for detail, you contribute to a carefree and comfortable experience for every guest.

Where will you be working?
As a Houseman you will be working at The Kontiki. An organization in which everyone contributes with their unique characteristic but together as a team to exceed the expectations of our guests. In the role of Houseman, you will be directly accountable to the Housekeeping Executive.
What will you do?
As a Houseman, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining and cleaning public areas, corridors and other facilities.
- Taking care of the transport of linen to and from the laundry room.
- Replenishment of cleaning materials and supplies in the pantries on the floors.
- Collection and disposal of waste and used crockery.
- Assist in setting up and moving furniture when needed.
- Identifying and reporting technical malfunctions and damage.
- Supporting guest requests, such as baggage transport and other assistance.
- Ensuring a representative appearance of all facilities within the resort.
- Providing support to the housekeeping team at peak times.

You also bring:
- Experience in cleaning/hospitality is an advantage.
- Physically capable of performing cleaning and transportation tasks.
- Flexible employability, evenings/weekends/holidays.
- Has insight into the needs of the guest and always puts the guest first.
- Has an enthusiastic, friendly, solution-oriented and guest-oriented personality.
- Looks impeccable (presentation).
- Knowledge in word and writing of the Dutch and English language. (Spanish and Papiamentu is also desired).
