Financial Controller

The role

As a Financial Controller, you play a key role within The Kontiki and are responsible for ensuring a reliable, complete, and timely financial administration. You hold an important position within the organization and are responsible for leading the finance team. You ensure that financial processes run smoothly and that the figures not only add up, but also provide valuable insights and guidance for the organization.

In the role of Financial Controller, you will report directly to the Director of Finance.

What will you do?

The Financial Controller is responsible for:

Ensuring accurate and complete processing of all financial transactions
Safeguarding a complete and accurate revenue recognition process
Monitoring and coordinating the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Managing the finance team (Income Auditor, GL Accountant, and Accounts Payable)
Setting clear priorities, deadlines, and quality standards within the team
Reviewing revenue streams and ensuring alignment between PMS, POS, and the general ledger
Ensuring the quality and proper substantiation of balance sheet accounts
Establishing and monitoring internal controls (AO/IC) to prevent errors and fraud
Identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions
Acting as the main point of contact for external audits and coordinating audit processes
