The role

As Social Media & Content Marketing Strategist, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience. You will play a key role in strengthening the digital presence of The Kontiki across all social media and content platforms. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and creative partners, you will create and coordinate engaging content that reflects the identity, energy, and lifestyle of the brand. Your focus will be on content planning, community engagement, campaign support, and maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity across The Kontiki Beach Clubs, events, and hotel experience.

In the role of Social Media & Content Marketing Strategist, you are directly accountable to the Marketing Manager.

 

What will you do?

As the Social Media & Content Marketing Strategist, you are responsible for:

  • Create and maintain the monthly content calendars for our social media channels.
  • Plan and schedule content across relevant platforms, including posts, stories, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Ensure the content calendar remains aligned with current priorities, promotions, and resort activity.
  • Prepare a focused monthly deliverables list for our regular external photographer and videographer, with a scope of up to 8 deliverables per month.
  • Collaborate closely with our external photo and video partner to brief, coordinate, and follow up on content needs in line with the calendar and marketing priorities.
  • Help ensure content is on brand, relevant, and visually aligned with The Kontiki’s jungle chic identity.
  • Monitor incoming messages and interactions across Instagram and Facebook.
  • Respond daily in a warm, professional, and brand-appropriate tone.
  • Help create an online presence that feels welcoming, stylish, and connected to the atmosphere of The Kontiki.
  • Manage the marketing inbox and ensure timely follow-up where needed.
  • Support influencer collaborations when relevant and when capacity allows.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing team with selected ongoing projects where support is needed.
  • Help keep workflows clear, realistic, and well organized by staying focused on the role’s core priority.
