Front Office Agent
The role
As a Front Office Agent, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience. You will take care of the check-in and check-out of the hotel guests of The Kontiki, take reservations, and handle email. Also, the first point of contact for questions and complaints during the stay.

In the role of Front Office Agent, you will be directly accountable to the Front Office Supervisor/ Assistant Front Office Manager.
What will you do?
As the Front Office Agent, you are responsible for:
- Greets and welcomes the guest and introduces himself to the guest.
- Check-in and check-out of hotel guests.
- Actively upselling the rooms.
- Taking reservations for hotel stays.
- Processing reservations in PMS.
- Follow-up of reservations, ensure a unique guest experience from the moment of booking to departure/coming home from vacation.
- Drawing up invoices in PMS.
- Cash management and processing of transactions via payment terminal.
- Operating the telephone exchange.
- Information provision and sales trips and/or car rental, if necessary, also make reservations.
- Provides information to the guest about activities within the organization (events).
- Ensure a neat appearance front desk, hotel lobby and barista.
- Replenishment and ordering, after approval of Assistant Front Office Manager, office supplies/barista.
- Handle simple complaints and resolve them independently or calls in the help of the Front Office Supervisor or Manager for more serious complaints.
- Transporting guests and luggage in the absence or inadequate presence of the Guest Service team.
- Identify special situations and incidents.
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience Department (call center).

You also bring:
- Minimum MBO working and thinking level.
- Flexible employability, evenings/weekends/holidays.
- Hospitality, tourism, hotel school or similar.
- Preferably several years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of PMS system, preferably of Opera.
- You have spoken and written knowledge of the Dutch and English language. (Spanish and Papiamentu are also desired).
- Able to stand for long periods of time during an 8-hour shift.
