As an Events Technician, you are the face of The Kontiki and play a key role in creating unforgettable experiences. You are the invisible force that ensures every show runs flawlessly and every guest experience becomes memorable. From setting up dynamic lighting and crystal-clear sound to troubleshooting last-minute technical issues under pressure — you make the magic happen. Where will you be working?

In this role, the Events Technician reports directly to the Manager of F&B Beachclubs.

What will you do?

The Events Technician is responsible for:

  • Setting up and operating audiovisual (AV) equipment for events

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during events

  • Collaborating with event planners and clients to understand technical requirements

  • Maintaining and performing basic repairs on AV equipment when necessary

  • Monitoring AV feeds to ensure quality standards are met

  • Training relevant staff in the proper use and handling of AV equipment

You also bring:

  • A solid technical background in AV, lighting, and/or stage production (education or hands-on experience)

  • Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting event equipment

  • Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and events when required

  • Strong communication skills in English and Papiamentu; Dutch is a plus

  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols during event setup and breakdown
