Food & Beverage Runner

The role

As an F&B Runner, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience. You will be the key to delivering drinks and dishes swiftly and smoothly to our guests on the beach and in the restaurant. With your energy and friendly service, you help create unforgettable
experiences every day.

Where will you be working?

As an F&B Runner, you will be working at The Kontiki. In the role of F&B Runner, you will be directly accountable to the Supervisor.

What will you do?

As a F&B Runner, you are responsible for:

• Serving drinks and food for guests in the restaurant or on the beach.
• Keeps his/her working environment clean.
• Make mastic and mise en place.
• Provides a unique experience for the guest.
• Observes the atmosphere and monitors it by giving personal attention to the guest.
• Monitors the quality of the drinks and food and corrections if necessary.
• Treats simple complaints (I don’t have a straw) and solves these independently or asks for help
• from the Supervisor for heavier complaints.
• Ensure that all existing procedures are followed.
• Help colleagues where necessary in consultation with the Supervisor.
• Follow training courses to acquire more knowledge and better skills.

We are looking for a driven professional who works guest-oriented and always strives to exceed the
expectations of our guests. You are innovative-oriented, bring fresh ideas and are constantly looking for
ways to improve our services. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will proactively take on opportunities
and work independently, while always being performance-oriented and striving for excellent results.

You also bring:

• Basic knowledge of drinks/menu such as cocktails, wine, coffee, etc.
• Able to stand and walk for a long time during an 8-hour shift.
• Flexible availability (weekdays, weekends, holidays).
• Has good communication skills and speaks Dutch and English. Papiamentu and Spanish are an
  advantage.
• Able to work in full sun on the beach during the entire shift.
