Bartender

The role

As a Bartender at our beach club, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience. You are the tastemaker who prepares all drinks for serving. You provide refreshing, tasty drinks that complete the beach feeling and surprise our guests time and time again!

Where will you be working?

As a Bartender you will be working at The Kontiki. An organization in which everyone contributes with their unique characteristic but together as a team to exceed the expectations of our guests. In the role of Bartender, you will be directly accountable to the Supervisor.

What will you do?

As a Bartender, you are responsible for:

• Execution of all work within the bar.
• Enforcement of health and safety, hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP, personal hygiene, protective equipment, etc.)
• Speed of service (guest experience).
• Make proposals for improving quality.
• Connection to the policy of the beach club.
• Making proposals to improve the range of drinks.
• Ensuring the representative condition of facilities.
• Improving efficiency/productivity.
• Improvement of the formula possibilities.
• Welcoming guests at the bar, taking orders, providing information about drinks and snacks
  (beverage knowledge).
• Providing complete and correct information to and maintaining guests at the bar.
• Taking care of the mastic, such as checking the bar and seating area.

We are looking for a driven professional who works guest-oriented and always strives to exceed the
expectations of our guests. You are innovative-oriented, bring fresh ideas and are constantly looking for
ways to improve our services. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will proactively take on opportunities
and work independently, while always being performance-oriented and striving for excellent results.

You also bring:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Bartender.
• Flexible employability, evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Basic knowledge of dishes, ingredients, drinks and events.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time during an 8-hour shift.
• Is communicative, speaks Dutch and English. Papiamentu and Spanish are an advantage.
